Concerns over the safety of compressed natural gas, CNG, vehicles have intensified following an explosion involving a luxury bus at the Lagos Garage Terminus in the Mando area of Kaduna State.
The blast, which occurred early morning on Sunday, April 5, without warning, left the bus extensively damaged and debris strewn across the busy transport hub, disrupting activities and drawing crowds of shocked onlookers.
Eyewitnesses said the explosion sent panic through commuters, traders, and residents in the area, as emergency responders quickly moved in to secure the scene.
Remarkably, no casualties were recorded, despite the severity of the damage, a development that many described as fortunate given the scale of the incident.
