Mark-Led ADC Sets May 12 To Inaugurate Newly Elected State Executives

The David Mark-Led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has congratulated its newly elected State Executives and State Chairmen across the country following the successful conduct of its state congresses.

In a statement posted on Sunday, April 12, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the elections were peaceful and conducted in accordance with the law and the party’s constitution.

He noted that the exercise demonstrated the ADC’s commitment to internal democracy, transparency, and adherence to the rule of law.

Abdullahi also commended party members and stakeholders for what he described as their maturity and discipline during the process.

“These elections, carried out in line with the provisions of the law and the party’s constitution, reflect the ADC’s enduring commitment to internal democracy, transparency, and the rule of law,” Abdullahi said in the statement released Sunday.

He added that the party leadership was satisfied with the orderly conduct of the congresses across the federation.

The ADC further announced that the formal inauguration of the newly elected State Executives has been scheduled for May 12, 2026.

According to Abdullahi, the date may be adjusted if necessary, with any changes to be communicated by the party’s National Working Committee.

As preparations begin for the transition into office, the party urged the incoming officials to remain committed to its core values.

“The task ahead requires unity, discipline, and a continued commitment to building a strong, credible alternative for the Nigerian people,” Abdullahi stated on Sunday.

He expressed confidence that the new leadership at the state level would strengthen the party’s structures and expand its grassroots reach.

The ADC maintained that the development marks another step in its efforts to position itself as a viable political alternative in Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.

“Once again, congratulations,” Abdullahi added, reaffirming the party’s optimism about its future growth under the new state leadership.
