Don Jazzy Celebrates Mavin Records’ 14th Anniversary With Emotional Tribute

Renowned music executive and producer, Don Jazzy, has celebrated the 14th anniversary of Mavin Records, describing the journey as one built on vision, culture and the unwavering support of fans and artists.

In a post shared via his Instagram page on Friday, the Mavin boss reflected on the growth of the record label since its establishment in 2012, expressing gratitude to everyone who has contributed to its success over the years.

“14 years later and we are still building for our future. I am grateful to everyone who has supported the vision, the artists, the music, and the culture. So much more to come,” he wrote.

The post, accompanied by a commemorative graphic carrying the Roman numeral “XIV,” quickly drew reactions from fans, artistes and entertainment figures celebrating the label’s impact on the Nigerian and global music industry.

Founded by Don Jazzy after the dissolution of the now-defunct Mo’Hits Records, Mavin Records has grown into one of Africa’s leading music labels, producing several award-winning artistes and hit songs over the years.

The label has served as home to notable acts including Rema, Ayra Starr, Johnny Drille, Crayon and Magixx, among others.

Over the years, Mavin Records has played a significant role in shaping Afrobeats and expanding the global reach of Nigerian music through strategic collaborations, talent development and digital innovation.
