The Federal Government on Monday, May 25, 2026, opened its case against social media influencer Justice Chidiebere, popularly known as Justice Crack, before the Federal High Court in Abuja over alleged cybercrime-related offences.
Justice Crack is standing trial on an amended three-count charge bordering on alleged cybercrime, felony, and related digital offenses linked to the circulation of video content involving military personnel. He pleaded not guilty before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik.
At the resumed hearing, the prosecution called its first witness, a DSS operative identified as Oronto Douglas, who continued his evidence-in-chief.
The witness told the court that audio and video materials gathered during investigation were downloaded onto a flash drive for forensic analysis.

He also confirmed that a certificate of compliance was issued and signed for the electronic evidence tendered.
He further testified that investigators extracted materials from the defendant’s mobile device, including video recordings and communications allegedly linked to military personnel.
Defense counsel urged the court to maintain the existing bail conditions pending trial. The prosecution did not object.
Justice Abdulmalik granted the application and adjourned the case until September 28, 2026, for continuation of hearing, while noting that forensic evidence would be accessed through the court’s Information Technology Department.
