The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT) has announced special prayer sessions to be held across all its branches worldwide in response to Nigeria’s ongoing security challenges.
The organisation said the coordinated spiritual exercise will run simultaneously at its global locations as part of efforts to seek divine intervention for peace, protection, wisdom, and stability in the country.
Speaking in Lagos on Sunday, June 7, 2026, NASFAT spokesperson, Shamsideen Oseni, said the decision was taken against the backdrop of persistent insecurity, including repeated attacks on communities, loss of lives, and destruction of property across parts of Nigeria.
He said the situation continues to raise serious concern, noting that the rising violence has deepened fear, disrupted livelihoods, and strained community life in several regions.

Oseni stressed that peace, security, and social stability remain fundamental to national development and sustainable economic growth.
He added that while the special prayers are central to NASFAT’s response, stronger collaboration is also required among government authorities, security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and citizens to address the crisis more effectively.
According to him, such joint efforts are necessary to safeguard lives and property, restore public confidence, and strengthen unity across affected communities.
NASFAT maintained that the global prayer sessions form part of its continued commitment to promoting peace and supporting national stability.
