The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Blessing Agabe Karbolo, has been called to the Nigerian Bar, officially qualifying as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Agabe was among the new legal practitioners inducted during the Call to Bar ceremony held on Tuesday at the Body of Benchers Complex in Abuja.
A native of Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State, Agabe’s latest achievement marks another milestone in a career that has combined policing with legal scholarship.
She was commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in 2023 after completing a five-year training programme at the Nigeria Police Academy, where she obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree.
Following her graduation from the Police Academy, she proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus, where she earned the Barrister-at-Law (B.L.) qualification. She also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Rivers State University, Port Harcourt.

On April 10, 2026, Agabe was appointed the Police Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command after her appointment was approved by the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, following the recommendation of the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, and the command’s management team.
Her call to the Bar further strengthens her professional credentials, adding legal practice to her responsibilities as a police officer and spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command.
Beyond her academic accomplishments, Agabe has undergone several specialised professional trainings aimed at enhancing her operational and leadership skills.
These include the Combat Operations and Counter-Terrorism Course at the Police Mobile Force Training School, Ende Hills, Nasarawa State, and the Citizenship and Leadership Training Course at Shere Hills, Jos, Plateau State, among other capacity-building programmes.
Her qualification as a legal practitioner is widely regarded as a significant professional milestone, reflecting the growing emphasis on legal knowledge and professionalism within the Nigeria Police Force.
