The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, has announced September 9, 2026, as the commencement date for the screening of candidates seeking admission into its 13th Regular Course.
The academy disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday by its Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Umar Isah, on behalf of the Commandant, AIG Auwal Muhammad.
The screening exercise will run until September 18 and will include a Computer-Based Test (CBT), physical features assessment, medical screening and Selection Board interview.
Candidates are required to print their examination slips between August 25 and September 8 ahead of the exercise.
The academy said the CBT would be conducted according to candidates’ states of origin, with the first batch scheduled for September 9. The batch comprises applicants from Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra and Bauchi states.
The September 10 batch will include candidates from Bauchi (Batch B), Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River and Delta states.
Applicants from Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, the Federal Capital Territory, Gombe and Imo will take the examination on September 11.
The September 12 batch covers Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano and Katsina, while candidates from Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos and Nasarawa are scheduled for September 13.

Applicants from Niger, Ogun, Ondo and Osun states will sit for the CBT on September 14, followed by candidates from Oyo, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto and Taraba on September 15.
The final CBT batches will comprise candidates from Yobe and Zamfara states, who are scheduled to take the examination on September 16.
The academy listed the documents candidates must bring for the screening, including “original and photocopies of their Primary School Leaving Certificate, SSCE result, JAMB result slip, birth certificate or declaration of age, LGA indigene certificate, letter of identification, properly completed and signed guarantor’s form, medical certificate of fitness from a government hospital, NIN slip, four passport photographs and application acknowledgement slip.”
Candidates are also expected to appear in a white T-shirt, white shorts, white socks and white canvas shoes throughout the exercise.
The academy advised applicants to arrive at the institution a day before their assigned examination dates, noting that accommodation would be provided within the academy throughout the screening period.
It further warned that parents would not be permitted to enter the academy during the exercise.
Candidates were advised to consult the POLAC Admission Portal for additional information and to be wary of fraudulent social media accounts posing as official platforms of the Nigeria Police Academy.
