Four nursing mothers with their babies have been kidnapped in Mando village of Birnin-Gwari Local Govermment Area of Kaduna State.
They were kidnapped alongside 14 other residents when the bandits invaded their village firing sporadically in the midnight.
While confirming the incident, Chairman, Birnin-Gwari Emirate Development Union, Salisu Haruna, explained that the bandits arrived in the village during the day to study the terrain before they struck in the midnight.
He also added that the attacked village is five kilometers away from Birnin Gwari town and about three kilometers away from the Airforce base in Birnin Gwari.
Haruna added that the bandits invaded the village without means of movement but eventually made away with four motorcycles.He said, “The bandits were heavily armed with dangerous guns and are about eight of them, according to one of the persons that managed to escape.
“They went away with 18 people, including four nursing mothers and their babies, four motorcycles and plenty of food stuffs.”
He implored relevant security agencies to swing into action to rescue the kidnapped victims.
The state police spokesman could not be reached as of press time.
