Abducted students and staff of Government Science College, Kagara, Niger State, have finally regained their freedom.
They were released by the bandits in the early hour of Saturday after spending about a week in the den of their abductors.
Sources informed our correspondent that the victims were on their way to the state capital, Mina.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of the State, Mary Noel-Berje, said she could not confirm the news, though she has heard of it.
“I heard about the release but I have not been officially informed because there are still some challenges. It is when they finally arrive here in Minna and received by Governor Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello before we really believe and celebrate,” she maintained.
