Six people have been killed by unknown gunmen in a village near Wasinmi, a community along Ife/Ibadan way, Osun State.
The victims, members of the same family, were killed before daybreak on Sunday.
FirstNews gathered that police operatives, Hunters Group of Nigeria and men of Oodua Peoples Congress had been deployed in the area to ensure the culprits were apprehended to face consequences for their action.
The incident was confirmed by the state Police Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola.
Opalola said that the state Commissioner of Police, Wale Olokode had visited the scene of the incident.
