Another divisional police headquarters has been invaded and razed down in Imo State.
The latest attack was staged against Isiala Mbano Divisional Headquarters located at Umuelemai area of the state.
The incident happened Saturday night. The gunmen, FirstNews learnt, stormed the police headquarters, sacked policemen on duty, freed suspects, invaded the arms storage department of the facility and then set it on fire and watch the building razed down.
It was not immediately confirmed if any life was lost during the attack on the police facility, however, eyewitness report said that about four policemen allegedly sustained gunshot injuries following the gun battle with the invaders.
The attack was confirmed by the police spokesperson in the state, Orlando Ikeokwu.
Between February 2021 and now four police divisional headquarters had been attacked in the state.
The attacked police divisions are those at Obowo, Aboh Mbaise, Ihitte/Uboma and Isiala Mbano.
