A renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello, has berated Governor Seyi makinde of Oyo State over spate of killings and other related vices in all the 33 local government areas of the state.
Sheikh Bello, who made this known while delivering a sermon at the maiden annual Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi memorial Ramadan lecture held in Ibadan, said people could not move freely anymore.

Delivering a lecture on the topic “Nothing goes without reward from Almighty Allah”, Bello said that nothing has changed since the former governor left the office, adding that most of the projects of the current government in the state were started by Ajimobi but surprisingly the current government in the state is still claiming to be planning his own programs.
His words, “Nothing has changed in Ibadan. We cannot move freely anymore. People should fear God and obey the prophet. I am now telling you that it is what we do that people will say about us. Ajimobi built good legacies.
“They are still planning, we have gone back to the era of planning. We cannot forget Lam Adesina and Ajimobi who have died”
Chairman of the occasion who is also the Asiwaju Adini of Oyo State, Alhaji Mutiu Oladejo, earlier in his welcome address, noted that the vacuum left behind as a result of Ajimobi’s death has not been filled by anyone.
“He has legacies in all areas of human endeavours. We should all remember to prepare for our death. The vacuum left behind as a result of the death of the former Governor has not been filled.
“Let us join hands with our leaders to move the state forward. I urged all youths to join hands with our leaders to move the state forward.”
The Ramadan lecture was organized by family, friends and associates of the immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi who died last year.
Dignitaries who attended the event included, APC gubernatorial candidate in the 2019 general elections, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari (Oyo North), Chief Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), Ajimobi younger brother, Chief Wasiu Ajimobi, his children among whom are Mr. Idris Ajimobi and his aides among whom are Mr. Bolaji Tunji.
Others are APC chairman, Chief Akin Oke, APC Secretary, Mr. Mojeed Olaoya, House of Representatives member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe and Dr. Amoo Alaga
