Lagos police apprehend armed robbery suspect, cultist

The police operatives attached to Sagamu Road Division, Ikorodu, Lagos State, on Friday, around 4:05am, arrested a 22-year-old Tobiloba Akeem at Itamagba.

It was learnt that Akeem and his friend, now at large, were being held

by one Inspector of Police, Atunramu Ojo, who is attached to Oworonsoki Division of Lagos State for their aggressiveness and resistance to pay transport fare to the driver of a Toyota Previa bus, with number plate LSD 369 FU conveying the inspector and the suspects.

Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said on Sunday that the hot argument and gallantry

act of the police inspector attracted the police operatives on a routine patrol, who eventually arrested the suspect with some dangerous weapons/items.

He said: “Items recovered from him, after search, include one

locally-made pistol, some live cartridges and assorted charms.

“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, while

commending the gallantry of the police inspector and other operatives for the feats, directed that the suspects be transferred to the

Command’s Special Squad for thorough investigation and possible

prosecution.”

He added that the operatives attached to the same division, on

Thursday, April 15, around 12:10am, arrested 40 years old Rasheed

Isiaka for allegedly committing series of crimes in all parts of

Ikorodu.

“The suspect, who resides at No 4, Olowonisaye Street, Ikorodu before

his arrest was placed under surveillance and due to the intelligence gathered on him, he was eventually arrested.

“Items recovered from him include two locally-made pistols, one laptop, two suspected stolen Bajaj motorcycles, two knives and some

assorted charms,” Adejobi said.
