President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met with some northern state governors behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting was also attended by state governors of Kebbi, Atiku Bagudu; Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai; Plateau, Simon Lalong; Niger, Abubakar Bello and Nasarawa, Abdullahi Sule.
Also at the meeting was the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof Ibrahim Gambari.
Although details of the meeting were still unknown when this report was filed, however, speculations are that the meeting may not be unconnected with the ever worsening insecurity in the North and other parts of the country.
