Diri, wife, Ewhrudjakpo, others celebrate Zilly-Aggrey’s emergence as PFN Vice President

ODAHIEKWU OGUNDE, Yenagoa 

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, at the weekend joined a host of clergymen to rejoice with Apostle David Zilly-Aggrey, over his emergence as the National Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, South-South.

Diri, who was represented by his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, at a grand reception put together by PFN Bayelsa State chapter in Yenagoa, described Apostle Zilly-Aggrey as a passionate servant of God, who is focused on fulfilling his purpose on earth. 

The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the deputy governor, Mr Doubara Atasi, in a statement quoted Diri as saying that the emergence of the Apostle as PFN Vice President, was not only unique but prophetic.

Diri asserted that Bayelsa State, over the years, has been a citadel of God’s dwelling place judging by the number of indigenous clergymen who have occupied highly exalted positions in the body of Christ at the national level.

While congratulating Apostle Zilly-Aggrey, on behalf of the government and people of the state, the governor charged him to remain resolute and focused on his ecclesiastical calling to make more impact. 

In her goodwill message, the wife of the governor, Dr Gloria Diri, described Apostle Zilly-Aggrey as a father figure who has influenced lives positively and thanked God for elevating him to another position of higher calling.

Mrs Diri also expressed her gratitude to God for the life of the General Overseer of the House of Grace International Church, whom the Lord is using as a true soldier to conquer territories in Ijawland and other parts of the world.

The wife of the governor then congratulated Apostle Zilly-Aggrey, praying God to grant him the wisdom and strength to do exploits in the new assignment.

Also speaking, a former deputy governor of Enugu State, Dr. Ralph Nwoye, expressed optimism that PFN South South would experience supernatural turnaround following the election of the Apostle.

Others who delivered goodwill messages were Reverend Tuesday Emmanuel, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Affairs, Bishop Godspower Asingba, State PFN Chairman, Bishop Prosper Ayaowei and the Technical Adviser on Public Affairs, Pastor S.S. JohnPeters.

In a message titled, ‘Be What God Has Made You To Be’ , Bishop Simeon Okah  asserted that few people are pursuing their God given purpose on earth as many do not know the essence of their existence.

Bishop Okah, who expressed delight over Apostle Zilly-Aggrey’s new position, described him as a light that has been chosen to project the body of Christ in a new dimension.

Responding, Apostle Zilly-Aggrey expressed gratitude to Governor Diri, Mrs. Gloria Diri, Senator Ewhrudjakpo and the state government for the unwavering support towards the church in the state and prayed God to always uphold the Prosperity Administration.

The PFN Vice President, South-South, also appreciated clergymen in the region, including the General Overseer of Doxa Church, Rev. T. Y. Emmanuel, for their show of love towards him and pledged to use his new position to promote their interest and the work of God.
