Yet to be identified gunmen on Monday attacked the Ibadan residence of Yoruba popular freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo, otherwise known as Sunday Igboho.
The attack according to information gathered, occurred around 1am with the gunmen shooting sporadically to scare people within the community.
A source who confirmed the development to FirstNews, Kunle Gbayi, said “Yes, it really happened, but they were repelled by people in the house”.
Meanwhile, one of the aides of Sunday Igboho, Dapo Salami, has said the gunmen invaded the house at Soka in the midnight.
“They came exactly 1.30 am.
“They came and they were resisted. I cannot confirm the number of those who came. But, they came and they were resisted.
“We are not suspecting anyone, but we know that some people came.
“They came and they were resisted, that is just it.”
Recall that Sunday Igboho has been one of the leading actor agitating for Yoruba nation after chasing criminal herdsmen from a community in Ibarapa, Oyo State.
