Security agents have arrested six informants working for bandits terrorising communities in Niger State.
The suspects were accused of feeding terrorists with information about the movement of security operatives.
Niger State has been gripped by series of violent attacks in recent days, with over 50 communities deserted following attacks by the bandits.
It was learnt that the suspected informants were arrested in Shiroro and Munya local government areas of the state.
A security source said the suspects were arrested on their way to give the bandits information about the movement of troops deployed in the areas.
The arrested suspects, it was learnt, include all medical doctor, some youths and farmers.
It was gathered that the informants are currently being detained by the police who are currently grilling them to ascertain the level of their culpability or otherwise in the alleged crime.
