Nigerians are condemning the comment by President Muhammadu Buhari spokesman, Garba Shehu on insecurity in Benue State.
Ortom in 2019 had opposed the Federal Government proposed RUGA settlements for Fulani herdsmen.
In a statement on Thursday, Shehu said the killings in Benue was because Ortom failed to place welfare of the people above all other interests by rejecting programmes by the Federal Government meant to bring a lasting peace in the state.
