Senate suspends plenary for constitution review

Senate on Wednesday suspended plenary for one week to enable lawmakers to take part in the zonal public hearing across the country.

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, who disclosed this during plenary, said the exercise will hold in 12 centres across the country between May 26 and 27.

Lawan urged Nigerians to participate fully in the exercise as the National Assembly has no plan to impose any pre-conceived agenda on citizens.

He assured that the Legislature would give ample room for suggestions from Nigerians on how to move the country forward
