Presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, says the naira is in the “best possible health it can be, given the circumstances we are in.”
Last Thursday, Naira appreciated at the importer & exporter (I&E) window by 0.1 percent to N411/$1 but depreciated by 0.4 percent to N495/$1 in the parallel market.
But Shehu, while speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, argued that over the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has negatively affected the global economy.
He claimed that only the Nigerian economy is recording “positive growth” in Africa.
