Nigerian veteran artist and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charlyboy has declared that all youths in Nigeria are Biafrians.
According to him, the youths have been marginalised by the old people in government who never meant well for them.
He said that Biafra agitators are fighting against this injustice meted on the youths by the nation’s leadership.
The convener of ‘Our mumu Don Do’ in an interview with Daily Post, also explained that the poor performance of the people in government gave birth to different agitations in the country.
He said, “Let me tell you something, every young Nigerian is a Biafran, because for how many years have the youths been marginalised in this country?
“Meanwhile, our founding fathers were useful in their days. They were young people. They were not old people. So why for decades upon decades do we insist on having old people? What is happening to young people?
“They are the most marginalized. Forget about Igbos. The Igbos, Hausa, and Yorubas know the game they are playing.
“Unfortunately, the Igbos from that region of the country are not good politicians. They may be good business people, but they are not politicians, and that is the reality on ground.’’
Speaking on the alleged hatred for the Igbo race, Charlyboy said, “But if you are asking if there is hatred, there is no tribe that is being hated like the Igbos.
Asked if Igbo are hated as he claimed because they are not responsible he said, “No! They are also the most successful. They strive. There is no place you will go to that you will not find them there. And if you can’t find them there, it means there is nothing happening there.
“So the biggest people that are marginalised are the young people.’’
