ESN won’t back down so long Buhari’s regime exists –Kanu

Leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has said the Eastern Security Network (ESN) would not back down provided the regime of President Muhammadu Buhari continues.

According to him, the security outfit exists to protect the Igbo people from being infiltrated by external forces.

ESN had been accused of being the mastermind of attacks against security operatives and property in the Southeast. A situation that has seen security agencies vowing to clampdown on the group.

But the Biafra freedom fighters have repeatedly dismissed the claim, stating that IPOB and its security wing are not involved in criminal activities.

Speaking on his Twitter handle on Wednesday night, Kanu reiterated that the group will not fade out despite the warning from the Federal Government.

He said the ESN “was created out of necessity” adding that it would continue to protect the Igbos from all forms of criminalities.

The tweet reads, “Again #ESN was created out of necessity. As long as Buhari’s regime continues to kill and abduct #Biafrans across the (SE)

“ESN will continue to protect Igbo people from the brutal attacks of terrorists, bandits and herdsmen”
