Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle has joined the All Progressives Congress.
This was confirmed in a post by the president’s Personal Assistant on Digital and New Media, Bashir Ahmad, on Sunday Morning.
“So Zamfara is back home! Welcome Matawalle,” Mr Ahmad said in the post.
The governor had in the past denied nursing any ambition to crossover to the ruling party.
He was elected on the platform of the PDP after the Supreme Court nullified the victory of the APC in the 2019 elections in the state due to an internal party crisis.
