English Premier League side Arsenal are interested in signing flamboyant PSV Eindhoven winger Nonso Madueke, according to reports.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) target has been on the radar of the Gunners for a few months and they could firm up their interest by making an official bid to PSV before the summer transfer window closes for business.
According to analysts Madueke has a similar playing style to Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez and his main attributes are his pace, acceleration, dribbling, passing and ball control.
So far, the 19-year-old has been brilliant since he was promoted to PSV’s first team, netting nine goals and registering eight assists in 36 appearances.
His good performances have not gone unnoticed by teams in the top five European Leagues, with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Leicester City and AC Milan reportedly showing interest in signing him.
Madueke had spells with the youth teams of Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur before transferring to PSV, with whom he is contracted until June 2024.
He was named in the England squad for the group stage of the U21 EURO in March 2021.
