Nnamdi Kanu lived five-star life, travelled in chartered private jets – Lai Mohammed

Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, says leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, before his rearrest was living like a president.

FirstNews had reported that Kanu was rearrested during the week and detained in the custody of the Department of State Service following a court order validating his apprehension.

Mohammed, who spoke at a press conference In Abuja on Thursday, said the IPOB leader was living like a president, junketing around the world in private jets.

The minister said, “It will interest Nigerians to know that for over two years, our security and intelligence agencies were on the trail of the proscribed IPOB leader as he lived a five-star life across several countries, travelling on chartered private jets, living in luxury apartments and turning out in designer clothes and shoes.

“Of course, as we all saw, Kanu was wearing an attire made by Fendi, a luxury Italian fashion brand, when he was arrested.”
