Alleged corruption: Magu begs IGP for bail

Suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr Ibrahim Magu, on Friday applied to the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to be released on bail.

Magu’s lawyer, Oluwatosin Ojaomo, through a letter sent to the IGP’s office, requested the police boss to grant his client bail.

The EFCC boss is currently undergoing investigation by a special presidential panel for alleged corruption.

The anti-graft agency’s boss, who has been undergoing interrogation by the panel since his arrest on Monday has also been in detention.
