Elections into the 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas of Lagos state began on Saturday morning with low turnout of the electorate.
It was gathered that some of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission arrived late at their polling units while others were prompt.
Recall that Lagos state government had announced restriction of movement across the state this Saturday between 8a.m. and 3p.m. to enable a hitch-free conduct of elections into positions of chairmen and councillors in all the state’s 57 LGAs and LCDAs.
