Court of Appeal, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Wednesday, set aside the judgment of the state High Court restraining Governor Seyi Makinde from dissolving local government councils in the state.
The appellate court’s decision nullified an earlier judgment of the state High Court.
Delivering the judgment, Justice Haruna Tsammani, said the council chairmen failed to show verifiable facts of the plan by Governor Makinde to dissolve the councils.
Justice Tsammani described the case initiated by the council bosses as based on mere speculations and conjectures.
