FRSC warns against night travelling

Federal Road Safety Commission in Kogi State has warned against night travelling, especially as the year is rounding off.

The state command said night traveling had now become unsafe for motorists and commuters in and around the state.

In a statement made available to journalists, the FRSC Sector Commander in Kogi, Mr Solomon Agure, said the poor condition of roads in the state had recently become worrisome, likewise the issue of insecurity across the country, which made night travelling extremely dangerous.

Agure added that no good road experience could come out of speeding, overloading, use of phone while driving, use of mechanically deficient vehicles, failure to use a seatbelt, and safety crash helmet.

He, however, implored motorists to avoid running afoul of traffic rules to avoid accidents, adding that drivers should guide against violating the anti-safety vices.
