CEO of ATD Global Security Services Ltd, a lead consultant for Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON),Mr. Olakunle Johnson, has announced the postponement of the scheduled official inauguration of the National Anti-Multiple Taxation Scheme(NAMTAXS), owing to unforeseen circumstances.
Johnson disclosed this in a chat with newsmen at his office in Lagos, stating that the postponement was basically due to the need for more time to conclude preparations for the event.
He also spoke glowingly about their major partner, MIKANO International Limited, citing the promising discussions as a direct pointer.
Speaking further, Johnson said, “Since the inauguration of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) in 154 local governments across Southwest, more time is required by the Committee for them to run around and ensure the eventual success of the event.
“We need to reach out to the six Southwest state governors, Commissioners of Police, all other security agencies, including the military and paramilitary functionaries, meant to be in attendance as well as other dignitaries.
“Major stakeholders in the haulage business are also key to this launch; so more time is required to deploy our logistics for maximum participation. The new date for the event will be communicated soon.
“We regret all inconveniences this shift in date might have cost our would be staffers all around Southwest. We are, however, confident another date in November will be communicated soonest.”
High flyers in the industry like Dangote, BUA,Nestle Nigeria Plc, Coca Cola bottling company will also be in attendance.
Being active participants in the transport sector, the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Road Transport Employer Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), will be attending, as well.
