Former Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte, has been appointed Tottenham’s new manager on an initial 18-month deal with the option of extending.
Spurs sacked Nuno Espirito Santo on Monday morning, following a poor run of form, with Saturday’s 3-0 loss to Manchester United proving the tipping point for Chairman Daniel Levy.
Conte, 52, has been out of work since leaving Inter Milan at the end of last season and had held talks with Tottenham last summer over replacing Jose Mourinho.
The former Juventus manager eventually decided against joining Spurs but Levy has managed to persuade him second time around with the help of Managing Director Fabio Paratici.
Announcing the appointment on their official Twitter page, Spurs tweeted: ‘Buongiorno Antonio’ alongside a video of Conte.
