Oromoni: Bullying is rampant in Nigeria, even in Nollywood —Halima Abubakar

Popular Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar says bullying is rampant in Nigeria including in the nation’s movie industry, Nollywood.

The mother of one said this in a post shared on her Instagram page while demanding justice for Sylvester Oromoni, a 12-year-old student of Dowen College, who died from internal injuries, after being bullied and assaulted by fellow students.

Halima threatened to mention names of bullies in the movie industry.

Her post read: “Look, even in Nollywood we have bullies and I’ll name them all.

“I repeated a semester because of bullies.

“I pray an arrest has been made and the perpetrators of the crime should be brought out and justice served so Sylvester can have closure and finally rest in peace. Bullying is actually rampant but they keep covering it up.”

Dowen College has since been shut down indefinitely by the Lagos State Government till investigation into the young champ’s death is over.
