Buhari condemns Boko Haram’s killing of 5 aid workers in Borno

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned Wednesday’s execution of five kidnapped staff of humanitarian agencies in Borno State by Boko Haram terrorists.

The aid workers were kidnapped by the terrorists a month ago.

President Buhari, in a statement issued on Wednesday night by his media aide, Garba Shehu, sympathised with the families of the five aid workers.

President Buhari, who prayed God to comfort their families for the irreplaceable loss, assured them that his government would continue to do all within its capacity to ensure that every remaining vestige of the Boko Haram is wiped out completely from northeastern Nigeria and that the perpetrators of this atrocity face the law.

He also commiserated with the State Emergency Management Agency, Action Against Hunger, Rich International, and International Rescue Committee, whose staff have suffered this gruesome fate.

Buhari, who thanked them for their continued dedication and service to the victims of Boko Haram in northeastern Nigeria, assured them that security agencies in the state would work closely with their organisations to implement measures to ensure that no such kidnapping of staff occurred again.
