A Ukrainian military plane with no fewer than 14 people aboard has crashed near Kyiv.
Emergency services reported this on Thursday, saying that it “is still determining how many people died.”
The crash took place about 20 kilometres (12 miles) south of Kyiv, amid reports of several locations around the city being under attack by Russia.
Russia commenced military operation in Ukraine earlier on Thursday after its President, Vladimir Putin, announced the action in a broadcast.
Russia action has receive condemnations by the United States, France and the European Union.
To stop the military action against Ukraine, Putin listed three conditions- which are: that Kyiv should renounce its bid to join NATO, to partially demilitarise, and to recognize Russia’s sovereignty over Crimea, the Black Sea peninsula that Moscow annexed from Ukraine in 2014.
