Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has debunked a report going viral that Musiliu Akinsanya, a.k.a. MC Oluomo has been appointed as the General Manager of motor parks in Lagos State.
Oluomo was suspended by the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) as the Lagos Chairman on Wednesday.
Following this, the suspended leader announced that he and the state chapter were breaking away from the national body while imploring Sanwo-Olu to appoint a Management Committee to oversee the operations of parks.
However, unconfirmed report had it on Friday, that Akinsanya had been named the head of Lagos Transport Parks and Garages Management Committee.
But the development was debunked by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Goyegs Akosile.
The CPS who spoke on his Twitter handle said “Please disregard post(s) claiming that Gov @jidesanwoolu has appointed suspended Chairman of NURTW, MC Oluomo as GM, Lagos Transport Parks and Garages committee”.
He added that the statement by Information Commissioner, Gbenga Omotoso, remains the position of the government.
