A delegate for the All Progressives Congress presidential primary from Jigawa State, Isa Baba Buji, died on Tuesday, hours before the commencement of the primary election.
Buji, from Buji Local Government Area (LGA) of Jigawa State died Tuesday afternoon in Abuja.
His death was confirmed by aide to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Laolu Akande.
Akande, who did not reveal cause of the death wrote, ”VP Osinbajo saddened by the news of the death this afternoon, in Abuja, of Alh. Isa Baba Buji, 61, one of our APC delegates from Buji Local Government, Jigawa State.
”He extends heartfelt condolence to his family, associates, govt & people of the State & prays his soul rests in peace.”
