Nigeria’s U17 Women’s team, Flamingos, have been drawn in Group B ahead of the U17 Women’s World Cup in India.
The Flamingos were drawn in the same group alongside Germany, Chile and New Zealand who finished Third place at the last edition.
Other African teams like Morocco were drawn in Group A with India (Host), USA and Brazil. While Tanzania was drawn in Group D with Japan, Canada as well as France.
Group C includes defending champion Spain, Columbia, Mexico and People’s Republic of China.
Nigeria failed to qualify for the last edition in Uruguay in 2018, crashing out of the 2016 edition in Jordan at the group stage with one draw and two losses.
The tournament is scheduled to start from 11th to 30th October, 2022 in India.
