Burna Boy reveals Toni Braxton gets 60% royalties for hit ‘Last Last’

Nigerian singer Burna Boy has revealed that America singer, Toni Braxton gets 60 percent of the streaming revenue from his recent hit “Last Last” for sampling her classic hit “He Wasn’t Man Enough”.

The Grammy-award winner revealed in a recent interview that he had always wanted to sample Toni Braxton’s 2000 R&B hit, ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ and that it was his idea.

Burna Boy said he eventually got music producer Chopsticks to make it happen as he further revealed that although Toni Braxton gets 60% of the royalties from the single, he was fine with it as long as he was making great songs.

The singer also clarified that his type of music is ‘Afro-fusion’ and not ‘Afrobeats’ like it is usually mistaken as.
