Ahead of the 2022 CAF Awards on Thursday, July 21 in Rabat, Morocco, The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the final list of nominees for the award.
Nigeria had no representation in the Men’s category while there was a bit of hope in the Women’s category with the likes of Gift Monday, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Asisat Oshoala, Uchenna Kanu, among others nominated for different categories initially.
With the final list released, Top striker Asisat Oshoala is the only Nigerian in contention for the continental football award.
Oshoala is nominated alongside Grace Chanda of Zambia and Ajara Njoya of Cameroon for the Player of the Year (Women) category.
