Ayade locks out Cross River workers over lateness

Ben Ayade, the governor of Cross River State, shut out government workers at Government House in Calabar on Wednesday morning because they were late for work.

The governor, who arrived at work before 8 a.m., gave the Chief Security Officer the order to seal the gate and prevent anybody from entering the building after that time.

Some of the locked-out employees waited outside the state government building’s front gate, while others walked toward the office of chieftaincy affairs after they were locked out.
