NJC renstates Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia

Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia has been renstated as a judge of the Federal High Court once more by the National Judicial Council (NJC).

Her renstatement was spotted in a letter signed by Justice John Tsoho, Chief Judge of the Federal High Court.

The content of the letter read, “Your Lordships are by this Circular letter notified that at the Meeting of the National Judicial Council held on the 1st of December, 2022, the Council reinstated the Hon. Justice R. N. Ofili-Ajumogobia as a Judicial Officer.

“The reinstatement takes instant effect and there shall be consequential posting.”

The message also included copies for the Chief Registrar of the Court, the Director of the Library, and the Deputy Director of Finance and Accounts.

Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with money laundering and violation of public trust in November 2016.

All of the accusations against her, however, have been annulled and dismissed by the courts.
