Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of President Bola Tinubu, officially assumed the role of Nigeria’s First Lady on Monday in Abuja.
Accompanied by her security aides, Mrs. Tinubu arrived at the First Lady’s wing, where she was warmly received by Mr. Tijjani Umar, the Permanent Secretary of the State House, along with other Heads of Units in the First Lady’s Office.
Upon her arrival, Mrs. Tinubu was given a guided tour of the offices within the First Lady’s wing, which included the Administrative, ICT, Catering, Media, and Protocol Units.
Prior to becoming Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs. Tinubu served as the wife of the Lagos State Governor from 1999 to 2007. Subsequently, she was elected as the senator representing Lagos Central in the Senate.
