Reps labels Nigeria Air launch under Buhari’s govt fraud

The House of Representatives has raised concerns about the alleged launch of Nigeria Air during the previous administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari, labeling it as fraudulent.

Nnolim Nnaji, the Chairman of the House Committee on Aviation, denounced the Nigeria Air launch as a fraud after key stakeholders involved in the deal between the Federal Government and Ethiopian Airlines denied any knowledge of the launch.

The Ministry of Aviation argued that Nigeria Air was merely unveiled and not officially launched, but the committee dismissed this explanation as an attempt to divert their attention.

During the committee meeting, members were taken aback when the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) revealed that an aircraft painted in Nigerian colors was on a chartered flight to Nigeria.

Additional stakeholders also confirmed this information, highlighting that a chartered flight can be painted with any color and include any markings or inscriptions.
