The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has dismissed reports claiming it has opened registration for a ₦50,000 National Support Allowance, describing the information as false and fraudulent.
In a public notice shared on its official X handle on Sunday, the ministry cautioned Nigerians against messages, websites and application links promoting the alleged scheme, urging the public to rely only on verified government communication channels.
“The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has NOT commenced registration for any ₦50,000 National Support Allowance,” the ministry said.
It added, “Disregard fraudulent messages, links and websites claiming otherwise. Verify any info only through official govt channels.”

The clarification follows the circulation of a fake promotional flyer claiming that the programme had been launched under the directive of President Bola Tinubu.
The fraudulent advert, written in both English and Hausa, directs unsuspecting applicants to a suspicious website, kluspz.com, where they are encouraged to submit applications.
The ministry’s warning comes amid growing concerns over online scams targeting Nigerians, particularly vulnerable individuals seeking access to government social intervention programmes.
Similar fraudulent schemes have emerged in the past around initiatives such as N-Power, with several citizens referencing those experiences in their responses to the ministry’s official post.
