Former Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, was arrested on Wednesday, July 1, at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu while preparing to board a chartered flight to Abuja.
According to reports, security operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS) took the former minister into custody at the airport before his scheduled departure.
Nnaji is expected to be transferred to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for questioning.

The anti-corruption agency had been investigating the former minister since his resignation from office last year.
The investigation reportedly followed allegations that he forged his academic certificates, prompting the commission to begin inquiries into the matter.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the ICPC nor Nnaji had issued an official statement confirming the reported arrest or the circumstances surrounding it.
The development comes as anti-corruption agencies continue investigations into allegations of misconduct involving current and former public officials, with cases relating to certificate forgery and abuse of office attracting increasing public attention.
