Ibom Air Saga: Emanson Dismisses ₦500bn Lawsuit Reports

Comfort Emanson, the passenger at the centre of the recent Ibom Air saga, has denied reports claiming she filed a ₦500 billion lawsuit against the Federal Government, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and other parties.

The clarification came on Saturday through a statement posted on her official Instagram account, where she described the circulating story as “false and misleading.”

“My attention has been drawn to a fake report claiming that I have filed a ₦500 billion lawsuit against the Federal Government, NCAA, and others. This information is false and misleading. I have not taken any such legal action yet,” she wrote.

Emanson stressed that while legal action may be considered in the future, any such move would be publicly confirmed by her. She further identified her lawyer, Adam Atakpa of KipPraise Attorneys, as her authorized legal representative.

“For the avoidance of doubt my lawyer is Adam Atakpa of KipPraise Attorneys. I urge everyone to disregard this fake news and avoid being misled,” she added.

Emanson’s statement comes in response to widespread media reports suggesting she had taken legal steps following the high-profile incident on an Ibom Air flight that has dominated public discourse in recent weeks.
