The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, has disclosed its readiness to ensure that former Vice-President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubarkar, and former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu, lose the coming 2023 presidential election.
This is coming as the National President of the AYCF, Shettima Yerima, said Nigerian youths, especially the Arewa youths, would employ all possible means to vote against the duo.
Shettima said: “Nobody will give them (Tinubu and Atiku) that chance this time around, but certainly, the youths of this country would make a statement at a given time, you can be rest assured of this.
“Nobody will stop them from contesting, but certainly nobody will give them a chance; we will drag it together. We will ensure that we use our large number, consult widely, and ensure we put them where they belong.”
Meanwhile, Arewa youths have also wished Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo well on his declared presidential ambition.
Speaking with our correspondent, Shettima said “He is entitled to the right to contest the position and we cannot stop him. His declaration is welcome just as the rest, but as of us, we are studying the situation to reveal our position later. But as of now, we wish him well on his ambition”
