2023: If I become president there won’t be ASUU again —Moghalu

One of the 2023 presidential aspirants and former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Kingsley Moghalu has said that Academic Staff Union of Universities’ incessant strike would become a thing of the past if Nigerians elected him the next president.

He said this in a post on his official Twitter handle on Monday.

Moghalu spoke as ASUU on Monday embarked on a four-week warning strike over the failure of the Federal Government to fulfill its demands.

Moghalu wrote, “As a university teacher, I have clear and detailed plans to reform our dysfunctional education system. In  2023 I will become the Education President, and make ASUU strikes a thing of the past. We will invest heavily in education reform, education itself (including government’s obligations to university teachers) and university independence.

“Like most people, I have my idiosyncrasies. Life is stressful, and a man is entitled to some things that make him happy. Like, rainfall showers, 8 clear hours of sleep every night, dry and rough surface towels, certain foods. But @MaryanneMoghalu says I’m entitled to two, not 10!”
