AMINA ANEBI, KADUNA
Ahead of the 2023 general elections, thousands residents of Afaka Community, Mando in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State are yet to be captured in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR).
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) The Afaka Community, Comrade Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani, made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Tuesday.
According to the statement, “Thousands of eligible voters in our community may be disenfranchised if nothing is done to capture them ahead of the 2023 general elections.”
The community therefore, called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) urgently deploy equipment and personnel to the area for the CVR.
It read, “The Afaka Community is appealing to INEC to please provide capturing machine in the community, the time provided by INEC to capture registered voters in the community elapsed last week Friday, with thousands still expecting to be captured, but no capturing machine.
“INEC staff are witnesses to how the leadership of the community is committed to ensuring smooth running of the programme.”
