Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has called on Nigerians to give President Bola Tinubu another term, arguing that four years is insufficient for his administration’s reforms to deliver their intended results.
Adeleke made the appeal on Wednesday, October 14, at the inauguration of Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign Council at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
“We must give our father, the President of this nation, time for his reform to work. It’s not easy. Four years is not enough,” he said, adding, “That is why I’m here to throw my weight.”
The governor expressed confidence that Tinubu would win the 2027 presidential election, telling the gathering that he could already “feel the victory coming in 2027”.
“Nobody can stop this movement,” he said. “We’re going to sing, we’re going to dance all the way back to Aso Rock,” said Adeleke.
He urged political supporters to focus on mobilising voters rather than engaging in excessive talk, insisting that preparations for the election should begin in earnest.

“We don’t have time. The work has begun. I’ve already started mine. Let us rise and make sure our president comes back for the second time,” he added.
Adeleke also called on Nigerians to continue praying for the country’s leaders, saying the President’s success would benefit the nation.
“Continue praying for Mr President. If he succeeds, we all succeed. And I know by the special grace of God, we shall get there,” he stated.
The governor’s appearance at the event comes after he was named coordinator of Tinubu’s re-election campaign in Osun State in a revised campaign council list released on Tuesday.
Adeleke belongs to the Accord Party, making his role in the campaign a notable example of cross-party support for Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
The revised list also named FCT Minister Nyesom Wike as coordinator for Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory, while Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo was also included.
Speaking at the inauguration, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda described the gathering as a “rainbow coalition” bringing together supporters from different political parties.
The campaign council, constituted on August 22, is chaired by Tinubu, with Vice President Kashim Shettima as vice chairman, former Zamfara State governor Abdulaziz Yari as Director-General and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as secretary.
The APC is scheduled to flag off its campaign in Kaduna on October 24, ahead of the presidential election slated for January 16, 2027, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
